Movie Party ~ Favors

I am getting ready for my son's 9th birthday party next Saturday night ... the theme is movie night!  We are going to watch a new DVD, serve lots of popcorn and candy and order pizza!  What  kiddo could resist coming over to wish my son a happy birthday!  I will definitely post photos of the party as we set up and celebrate but for now, here is our finished party favors.  Pretty simple, paper popcorn bags from Sam's Club (I bought a box of 1000 a few years ago and have more than 3/4 of the box left!) filled with a movie theater sized box of candy and a wrapped bag of microwaved popcorn.  I attached a label and some ribbon and voila... instant movie snacks to go!   My son is dying to get into the bag he reserved, with the Runts of course, he even suggested that we give them out at the beginning of the party!  I told him that they were the favors to go and that I would have PLENTY of snacks to enjoy throughout the evening!
Thanks for popping by ;)

Mini Easter Treat Baskets

I purchased these plain baby blue polka dotted treat baskets from the baby shower section, the white shredded paper and the glittery bunnie stickers from Dollar Tree.
I added pearl beads for the bunnies eyes ...
And fun matching ribbon!  Now all I need is a few delicious pieces of chocolate and they are ready for the teachers!

*Sweet 16* Party Favors

My son's teacher commissioned me to make her daughters Sweet 16 birthday party invites (remember from a few weeks ago - if not scroll a few pages to re fresh your memory ;) The original color scheme was pink with the black and white zebra. After Ms. Teacher showed her daughter the "sample", daughter decided she liked red with the white and black best. No prob. With another trip to Michael's, I bought fresh red Bazzill card stock and began my printing task! Since the birthday girl liked the invites, I designed favors to match the invite to a tee. The inside is filled to the brim with yummy peanut butter M&M's (also doubling as my very healthy breakfast this morning!)! I purchased the favor boxes @ Dollar Tree (6 to a pack), ribbon, card stock, rhinestones and velum from Michael's. Marvy scalloped circle punches and Martha Stewart butterfly punches.

Happy Birthday Abbie!
xoxo~

Getting in the Halloween Spirt (no pun intended!)

I found a few of my Halloween crafts in the ol' C drive, from years past. I must have deleted a ton because I could only find these 2 photos! Halloween is my VERY FAVORITE HOLIDAY- ever! To say I go nuts or all out is an understatement. I love decorating for the holidays but Halloween is magical to me. Reminds me of when I was a kid. You didn't have to be Jewish or Catholic, green or blue, everyone celebrated it and everyone was happy on Halloween! How could you be sad with a sack full of free candy!?!?!? OK, I digress (as usual!) ... Halloween is MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY so I always make fun crafty projects. So it perplexes me as to why I have 2 files saved! Anywho... that means I will have to take lots of pics throughout the month as I decorate and uncover my homemade goodies!!!!!!!!
I altered a 'paint bucket' from Michael's with lime green vinyl (man, is that stuff fun- I still have some left that I use sparingly!), black, shimmery felt, ribbon and a homemade tag :) Everything is handcut, sorry, no pattern- I winged it!!! I filled it with candy and gave it to my boss. The only thing that stunk about giving it to my boss was seeing the disappointment on her face when I showed up for our meetings (I work from home) around the holidays, empty handed!!!!
Here is a Witch's Hand treat bag I made for both sons classes last year. It is a Latex glove that I filled with candies- using long candies like Smarties (you can use the long Tootsie Rolls as well) for the fingers. I adorned the Witch's Hand with pre-painted false nails I purchased from Dollar Tree, a plastic spider ring- also from the Dollar Tree, fibers and ribbon to seal all the treats in the hand!

I would love to see your Halloween projects so please link them in the comment section!

Fry Boxes ....

Boy themed fry boxes.....The Basketball Star
The Birthday Giftie
The All Boy
Here are the Halloween themed fry boxes:
The Itsy Bitsy Spider
The Spookie
The Ol' Black Cat

I thought I would try my hand at these handy dandy fry boxes I have been seeing lately. I saw a wonderful example in the 2peas and SIStv gallery from Cobb809 and knew I had to try it! So I looked up a template (pattern) http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/462697 (to be honest, this is the same pattern but not the one I book marked on my desk top) and cut out my PP and Cardstock and now I have 6 little gift boxes ready to brighten someone's day!
