Bargain Find of the Day

Rachel's Bargain Find of the Day : I was in Walmart and used my $2.00 off Benadryl topical coupon and got this for ONLY $.28 !!!! Perfect for summer bug bites, and it is small enough to fit in your purse or pool bag!

While I was browsing around I also found Nexcare bandages were on sale for $1.00 and I had a ton of $.50 off coupons... another great deal on the perfect first aid supply for the summer!  I just bought a few boxes of bandages so I didn't purchase any.  I am not a big fan of buying things I don't need nor have storage for just because it's cheap.  Now FREE, is another story ;)

Have a great day!

This Weeks Grocery Store Bargains!

Winn Dixie, a local Southern grocery store, has been putting out Make-A-Meal deals each week. This weeks deal was, buy a slab of Pork Spare Ribs and get everything else in the picture below for FREE! The ribs were a great deal at $2.97 a LB. Add the other freebies and SCOREEEEEE! I paid $21.82 and got a package of 2 full racks of Spare Ribs, a Pepsi product (I hate Pepsi so it was Mt. Dew for me!), A 50 pack of foam plates, napkins, deli style BBQ Baked Beans, garlic baquette and Bulls-Eye BBQ Sauce (which I had a $.75 off coupon for!)! But the bargains don't stop here ....I bought BOGO Gushers and Fruit by the Foot, Star Wars fruities for $1.00, white wine (because I needed some for my chicken scampi last night and ran out... now I will have it handy for hte next recipe!), 3 Glade air freshners and 2 Pringles. The Glades were $1 each and I had 3 $1 off Glade coupons = FREE. Then after I paid for everything, a $2 off any purchase coupon spit out, I ran back and grabbed 2 $1 cans of Pringles for the kids and their friend that will be coming on over to play after school today! Here's the proof! I spent $30.98 for everything in the top 2 photos!!!!
Then I ran into Walmart and picked up 3 bottles of *NEW* Gain dish soap, they were $.97 each and I had 3 $1 off coupons. They didn't give me the dollar off but adjusted the coupons for the $.97 discount!!! I was totally cool with that (who wouldn't be!). Then I bought a package of $2 toilet paper and used my $1 off coupon. I paid $1.35 for everything in the photo below!!!!
See... $1.35!!!
Thanks for shopping with me today!

Now that's what I call a SAVINGS!

I spent $3.55- at one of my local grocery stores today and got all this .... I haven't been to a Winn Dixie since the new millennium! But I ventured in one today for the sole reason of a BARGAIN!!! I quickly realized why I took such a long absence away from this chain of stores... BAD customer service and dingy, dimly lit store. But I still had a blast cashing in on the savings! They have a weekly deal called Make A Meal ... http://www.winndixie.com/Promotions/Make-A-Meal.asp. This weeks special was free gallon of store brand milk, 1/2 gallon of store brand OJ, Ready Crisp Bacon and a 12 pack of Pop Tarts with the purchase of 3 select Kellogg's Cereals. It turns out I had 2 FREE COUPONS from Kellogg's since they recalled 2 of my cereals several weeks ago (I was saving these coupons just for this very reason!) and a $1.25 off coupon with the purchase of 3 Kellogg cereals. The only thing is you needed a Customer Reward Card and when I went to customer service to attain one, they said they were out! I said it was my first time in the store and I was there for the breakfast deal. They said I could use the managers personal card. Well, when I gave them my free coupons, they had a FIT! Eventually the manager had to come over and I explained the Free Coupons were part of a recall and it was only fair that I use them with my purchase. I further explained to him that Kellogg's gives them every penny for the coupon and it really should not be a big deal. After many sighs and shoulder shrugs, I walked out spending $3.55! See the total next to the 4 astrix, by TAX? Yup, it says $3.55! I was pretty proud of myself and my husband was pretty excited when I got home and showed him the receipt! He is not the kind of guy that gets too excited about Pop Tarts but when I say they were his favorite - Blueberry and they cost me penny's... I had his attention!
Thanks for stopping by!

Bargain Shopping 101

A few weeks ago I decided to stock pile my coupons to utilize TrueCouponing.com
It is a fabulous site that links up my local grocery store and all the coupons and BOGOs for the week.... IN DETAIL!!! They even have a url to many of the companies websites for more coupons!

Look at everything I bought for $52.32 !!!!!!!

It took me about 2 hours to navigate through the website and all my coupons (DON'T CUT THE COUPONS!!! Keep them in a file by date- the site details the dates of the coupons for your convenience).

The site even has a special tab for my local grocery store, Publix!

I was even able to buy ground sirloin and a few pounds of deli meat (Boars Head!)!!!

Here is my savings and the $10 I got back from Customer Service. A friend advised me that Publix, my local and VERY clean, customer service oriented, grocery store - takes competitors coupons. I had a $10 off $75 purchase coupon for Target in my wallet! I loaded the car and ran back in to get my money back!!!
So the grand total I spent at Publix this evening was $53.32, originally $145.13~ $43.59 with BOGO and store sales and $ 59.22 with coupons!!! Publix, where shopping is a PLEASURE!!!!
TFL!
