Crepe Paper Medallions - Part 3 - Brights

More fun medallions with my Goodwill finds!  $1 for a huge bag of crepe paper streamers, how can you go wrong?  Here are the finale two projects, continuing my posts from the previous 2 days...

A simple medallion that can be used as a gift tag.  Who wouldn't feel special with this on their gift!!?  In fact, who would even need a gift besides the medallion! ?!?! 

A great use for some of the leftover Moxxie paper I had from when I was on their design team.  The theme park paper with the snacks written all over it is my very favorite!  I love the vintage county fair vibe!  I thought it would be perfect on my Americana medallion with my great $1 Goodwill grab bag find, the vintage royal blue velvet ribbon!

Crepe Paper Medallions - Part 2 - Fresh Spring Palate

As you see, once I started making these pretties, I just couldn't stop (so true with anything I like... I can't stop!)

Doesn't this medallion scream SPRING!?!?  I was only originally going to borrow this apothecary jar from my Spring Tablescape just for the photo but I loved it on the jar so much, that is where it is staying until Easter!

I found a set of 3 buterfiles at Dollar Tree and a set of pink sparkly ones including large and small (small shown here) in the Spring French section of Michaels for about $2.50.  The pearls around the vintage button are apart of the mega jackpot grab bag from Good Will I wrote about yesterday.  The large pink ribbon also came from a Good Will Grab Bag and I had the lime felt ribbon.

Another medallion with one of my Dollar Tree butterflies. I used mini white cupcake liners in the middle. The pretty yellow butterfly ribbon came from my swap partner in Denmark several years ago.  I actually forgot about it until I went in my yellow ribbon jar after the main medallion was completed!  It is THE perfect finish to this little pretty!

More pearls down the paper ribbons attached with blue Stickles!  The butterfly was in one of my embellishment jars.  Springy and simple!

I made a few book page flowers a few weeks ago and set them aside... well, voila... I finally had a use for one!  The center of my medallion!  I also used a few pieces of pretty light sage ribbon and a few borders from K&Company called Cut N Paste... found here http://www.eksuccessbrands.com/kandcompany/Products/Cut_N_Paste_Adhesive_Borders_30-591912.htm  I love them, so vintage and random!

Crepe Paper Medallions - Part 1 - Vintage French Inspired

Ok, I admit, I am a follower!  I have seen these little pretties posted on party blogs, craft blogs and decorating blogs (talk about versatile!) and had to try my hand at them!  I priced crepe paper during many trips to the stores but never wanted to commit.  So of course, in the LEAST expected place I found a huge bag full of brand new, never opened packages of party streamers in GOODWILL!  For $2- CHA CHING! 

I started out with the Fleur de lis scrap paper and based my theme around it.  I Googled vintage French images and found some pretty spectacular additions to my medallions! 

I soon discovered that the medallions were a great excuse, I mean USE, for my jars and jars and spools and spools of ribbon!

This medallion is almost all from thrift store finds.... the tan velvet ribbon, was $.50 for an entire spool of about 10 yards, the crepe paper was in my $2 grab bag score and even the itty bitty pearl like beads were another past grab bag score (I think there were about a dozen packages with 100 beads in each also part of a $2 grab bag find!)  Even the cream mini bird cage was a $1 at Goodwill! 

And that folks is how the story of my latest and greatest addiction began (in Goodwill, as any good addiction does!)!!
